How to Delete Purchases From Your Amazon Order History

Amazon doesn’t offer a dedicated button or feature to completely delete purchases from your order history. However, you can hide an order from showing up in your order history by archiving it. This tutorial shows how to delete Amazon purchases by archiving them on Android, iPhone, and desktop.

How to Hide Amazon Orders on Desktop

To hide an Amazon order by archiving it on a computer, open the Amazon website and log in to your Amazon account. Click on “Returns & Orders” at the top.

You will be greeted by the list of your orders. Find the order that you want to hide. By default, Amazon only shows orders from the past three months. To view older orders, click on the drop-down box that says, “Past 3 months.” Select the year in which you purchased the item, or use the search bar at the top to find the desired order.

Click on the “Archive order” link in the left corner below the order.

A pop-up window will show up. Click on the “Archive order” button to confirm that you are archiving the order.

If you don’t see the Archive order button, click on the “View order details” link in the top-right corner of the order.

Once you archive the order, it will vanish from your Amazon order history.

How to Hide Amazon Purchase History on iPhone and Android

Unfortunately, the Amazon Android and iPhone apps do not offer the archive feature. You can, however, use your mobile browser to archive an order if you enable Amazon’s desktop site in it.

1. Launch a browser, such as Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, open the Amazon website, and log in to your Amazon account.

2. In the Safari browser, tap on the “AA” icon in the address bar, and select “Request Desktop Website.”

3. On Chrome, tap on the three-dot icon in the top right, and select “Desktop site.”

4. Once the desktop version of the Amazon website loads, use the pinch-out gesture to zoom the screen, then tap on “Returns & orders” at the top.

5. Find the order that you want to hide, and tap on the “Archive order” link. Tap on the “Archive order” button in the confirmation pop-up.

If you don’t see the “Archive order” option, click on “View order details.” Click on the “Archive order” button on the next screen.

How to Hide Amazon Purchase History From a Family Member

If you are looking for ways to hide an Amazon order from a family member who uses your Amazon account to share Prime benefits, create an Amazon Household account. This feature lets you share Prime benefits with others without sharing purchase history or wish lists.

You can have two adults, up to four teens, and up to four children in one Amazon Household account. Both adults will have their own personal Amazon accounts, and purchase histories will be kept separate and private.

Open the Amazon Household website in a browser, log in to your Amazon account, then click “Add Adult.”

Enter the person’s name and email address to invite them to join your Household account. Once they accept, you can choose which prime benefits you want to share.

What happens when you archive an order?

Archiving is a subtle form of deleting the order. It doesn’t completely remove the order from your account. It will only hide the order from your order list. However, please note that the archived orders can still be found using “order search” or in the “Archived orders” section, so you can unhide them at anytime.

How many orders can you archive on Amazon?

You can archive up to 500 orders. You will have to unarchive an order if you want to archive more orders.

How do I unarchive an order?

Click on “Returns & Orders” in the top bar of the Amazon website, then select “Archived orders” from the date drop-down box. Click on “View order details,” and hit the “Unarchive order” button.

How do I delete an archived order?
