Our Rating

8 / 10

With today’s technology, we ask a lot of our earbuds, headphones, and speakers. They don’t need to just have good sound quality: we also want ease of use, durability, and easy setup. In this review of the Treblab HD77 Bluetooth Speaker, that’s what I set out to find out: whether it has all the merits we demand out of a Bluetooth speaker for today’s technology.

Setting Up

Review Treblab Hd77 Speaker Unboxing

The Treblab HD77 Bluetooth Speaker is simple to use and set up and ships with the simplest things needed:

  • Bluetooth speaker
  • User manual
  • Charging cable
  • Logo sticker
  • Carrying strap
  • Carabiner clip
  • 3.5mm audio cable
Review Treblab Hd77 Speaker Pairing

It is so simple to pair it. Press and hold down the power button until the blue light flashes, and you hear a chime. When its name shows up on your device, select it.

It’s how Bluetooth pairing should always work. There is nothing that could have made setting up this speaker any easier.

Two speakers can be paired together as well. However, more than one device cannot be paired to one speaker.

Using the Speaker

Just like setting it up, using the Treblab HD77 Bluetooth Speaker couldn’t be any easier.

Review Treblab Hd77 Speaker Buttons

To power it on, hold down the power button until you see the same blue rings you saw when you paired it. It will automatically re-pair to your device and send a second chime.

Play the music or podcast or whatever you choose to hear on your device, and it will play through the speaker.

The following operations are available with the four buttons on the speaker.

There is no app to use, but it isn’t needed. Every action you would want is available on the speaker or whatever app you’re using on your device to play music, news, a podcast, etc. There is even a built-in microphone to help you make and receive phone calls.

Sound Quality

I found the sound quality to be adequate. I was not left wishing it could be more, but it also was a noticeable step down from listening to music on my Apple HomePod. Yet, it’s definitely better than listening on the built-in speakers of my iPhone or iPad. I would put it on par with listening to music on an Amazon Echo.

It does not have a deep, rich bass or a crisp sound. But that is also not the selling point of this speaker — it’s meant to be durable.

According to the specs, the frequency response is 80Hz – 16kHz.

Charging

The Treblab HD77 Bluetooth Speaker is truly an all-day speaker. At max volume, it is supposed to last up to nine hours. At a medium volume, it is supposed to last up to 12 hours, and that was exactly my experience with it. I was extremely pleased with that. In some advertising, it says it can get up to 20 hours. Perhaps that is with a minimum volume.

When the speaker reaches low battery, the LED rings play a chime and will blink red. It will keep on chiming and blinking every few seconds until you charge it.

Review Treblab Hd77 Speaker Charging

On the back of the speaker is a charging port hidden behind a small button cover. The cover is necessary because this speaker is also water-resistant with a rating of IPX6. Also in this spot, you will find a 3.5m port, should you choose to not use the speaker wirelessly.

Once you plug it into the charger, the LED rings will be a solid red. When it is completely charged (approximately four hours), the light rings will turn green.

The speaker can also be charged while it’s in use. The rings will be purple and not red. When it’s done charging, the rings will be blue.

Overview

The Treblab HD77 Bluetooth Speaker can be purchased now at 20 percent off, leaving a cost of just $79.97.

The major selling point here is its durability. It’s meant to withstand the elements and be easy to set up and use. Just take it and go. It is absolutely perfect for that. It even has a shockproof body.

As a speaker for inside your home, if you’re an audiophile, you may be looking for something more. It will still perfect all the functions you need for an indoor Bluetooth speaker, but you may be looking for different audio quality.
